HARVEST MOON

Where the West sees a face in the moon, Japan sees a rabbit pounding rice cakes. On the night of the harvest moon, families set out pampas grass and a small pyramid of white dumplings, and the rabbit appears on plates, cups and ornaments across the house.

This edit gathers that night: rabbit porcelain from Hasami and Mino, a five-piece set of crescent-moon chopstick rests from Kyoto, and ornaments hand-sewn in Kyoto from chirimen silk crepe. Every piece is made in Japan. Every order leaves Tokyo by EMS, tracked, with US duties already in the price.
