Thresholds apply to the merchandise subtotal after discounts. A few large items (the Banko rice pot and the sawara rice keeper) ship at a flat US$45 / €45 and are not included in free shipping.
Duties and import taxes. For orders shipped to the United States, all import duties are included in the price shown and prepaid before the parcel leaves Japan. Nothing is charged on delivery. For the euro area and other countries, import VAT, duties and any postal handling fee are collected from the recipient on arrival.
Carrier and transit. Japan Post EMS, tracked door to door and insured. Dispatch within 2–5 business days; transit to the US and Europe typically 7–10 business days after dispatch. A tracking number is emailed when the parcel leaves.
Packing. Every piece is wrapped individually by hand and boxed for international transit.
Damage in transit. If anything arrives broken, email info@yuwen.jp within 14 days of delivery with photos of the item and the packaging. We replace it, or refund in full if it is no longer available.
