Collection: HARVEST MOON

In Japan, the rabbit lives on the moon. For the harvest moon of late September, tables are set with rabbits, pampas grass and a little gold. Porcelain from Hasami and Mino, and hand-sewn chirimen ornaments from Kyoto.

HARVEST MOON

Where the West sees a face in the moon, Japan sees a rabbit pounding rice cakes. On the night of the harvest moon, families set out pampas grass and a small pyramid of white dumplings, and the rabbit appears on plates, cups and ornaments across the house.

This edit gathers that night: rabbit porcelain from Hasami and Mino, a five-piece set of crescent-moon chopstick rests from Kyoto, and ornaments hand-sewn in Kyoto from chirimen silk crepe. Every piece is made in Japan. Every order ships by tracked EMS, with US duties already in the price.
