A footed serving stand in the shape of the sanpo, the offering stand of Japanese ceremony, in glossy vermilion with a gold rim. Made in Japan of resin lacquerware, so it is light, will not chip, and stacks away in a cupboard. About 6.7 inches square and 3.3 inches tall.
Set the moon-viewing dumplings on it in September and the New Year rice cakes in January; in between, it lifts a plate of sweets or fruit off the table and makes it look arranged. Hand wash.
