NISHIJIN TABLE RUNNER – CHRYSANTHEMUM & TORTOISESHELL, CHAMPAGNE PINK (KYOTO)

A champagne-gold Nishijin table runner with a whisper of pink, woven with chrysanthemums, the tortoiseshell hexagon, hanabishi diamonds and the lucky mallet. Set down the middle of the table, it lifts the dishes on it without competing with them.
Woven in Kyoto for FOURGRACE, this runner uses the traditional auspicious patterns that appear on Japanese kimono and festive tableware. The chrysanthemum stands for long life, the tortoiseshell for longevity, and the mallet for prosperity.
It suits New Year and celebration tables, but the tone is restrained enough for everyday dinners. The pink cast also makes it a natural fit for Girls’ Day in March.
