A pale pink Nishijin table runner woven with hanabishi, the four-petal diamond crest carried by the Heian court. The pattern appears and fades with the light, so the table reads as a quiet sheen rather than a print.
Woven for us by a long-established Nishijin house in Kyoto, this is a FOURGRACE original. Hanabishi is one of the yūsoku patterns reserved for nobility, and it is still used on festive tables in Japan today.
Use it for a celebration, a spring lunch, or simply to soften a dark wooden table. It sits well under white, pink, or gold-rimmed tableware.
Hand wash gently, dry flat in the shade. Store away from heat and humidity.
