Octagonal chopsticks with a "taniguchi" valley-cut profile and a band of two-tone gold leaf at the hand end. The leaf is applied in irregular flakes, so no two pairs are quite alike and the gold has real depth rather than a printed shine.
The body is lacquered PBT resin, light in the hand with a fine octagonal grip. Gold-accented chopsticks are traditional for celebration meals in Japan, above all New Year, and these hold their own on a table set with gold-rimmed porcelain.
Pair with our gold chopstick rests and kinran plates for a festive setting. Hand wash only.
