Octagonal chopsticks in natural wood, coated in soft beige urushi lacquer and finished with silver. The eight-sided shape widens toward the hand, so it is easy to hold and stays put on the table; the cool silver keeps the pair modern.
Each pair is lacquered by hand in Fukui, where Echizen lacquerware has been made for over a thousand years. The urushi has a quiet sheen that deepens with use, and the wood underneath keeps the chopsticks light.
