A platinum-gold Nishijin table runner woven with seigaiha, the overlapping wave crest. The pattern is small and even, so from a distance the runner reads as a shimmering metallic band; up close, the waves appear.
Woven in Kyoto for FOURGRACE, seigaiha is one of the oldest Japanese motifs and carries a wish for peace and continuing good fortune. The muted gold suits both Japanese ceramics and plain white dinnerware.
