A white and gold Nishijin table runner woven with kikkō, the tortoiseshell hexagon that stands for long life. The geometry is clean enough to sit in a modern dining room, and the gold thread gives it just enough warmth for a festive table.
Woven in Kyoto for FOURGRACE on a working Nishijin loom, the fabric has the weight and sheen of a formal obi. It is finished with a protective backing so it lies flat.
Use it for New Year, a milestone birthday, or a dinner for guests. It works with white porcelain, gold-rimmed pieces, and dark lacquer alike.
